Cushion LOVE...stitched with care

Happy Weekend Friends!
We had a very special order for cushions this week!
Our lovely neighbours Thousand Island Dressing are losing one of their/our favourite people, so we made a lovely reminder for them to give to her...

If there is one thing that sums up both Thousand Island dressing and our lovely friend it is...Colour! I hope we managed to create something that will bring her happy memories whenever she snuggles up with them!

Fabric LOVE...Cushions for the Lounge

...Java Lounge that is!

On Monday afternoon mum delivered this gorgeous mound of cushions to our friends {and neighbours on Upper Latrobe} Java Lounge Cafe. Gosh that woman sure is clever, she painstakingly hand stitched different details onto each cushion! I can't wait to get in there and take some photos of the cushions in situ but I couldn't wait to share them so we will have to make do with this photo mum sent me from her phone {possibly the only thing she isn't great at...technology!}

Love them! Next time you are in Paddington stop by the Java Lounge and make yourself cosy and then of course come and visit us.

Have I ever told you guys how great my mum is?
Well, on the chance that I haven't, she really is pretty great!

Friday LOVE...2 heads are better than 1

Fridays are wonderful for 2 reasons at Jean & Joyce. Firstly for the same reason as everyone else...because it's Friday {start of the infamous weekend!}. Secondly, and far more importantly, because mum and I work together all day in the store. Which means that we chat too much, eat naughty treats, drink too much coffee (iced tea for me!}, move things around and then panic when the day is almost over and we haven't finished all that we had on our list in the morning. Today we got a lot done, we finished off two beautiful cushion orders and started on another four. We also found the perfect fabric for an ottoman that we are making for a customer {she wanted bright and she wanted stripes, check & check!}.

To top off this wonderful friday we went out for chinese for dinner. There is nothing like chicken and sweet corn soup at the end of a busy week {I was good and went without their amazing deep fried ice-cream, thankfully they gave us a fortune cookie for a little sweet treat after dinner!}

Shop LOVE...lights, camera, cushions!

Is it really Monday already? Where did the weekend go? Aside from work, mine was filled with family, friends and a 2nd birthday party {for a pug named Shirley}...it was pretty great all round! But we're back to it today and I have to say that the cushion order we received completely tickles my fancy...

Do you all agree? Cameras and pom poms need I say more! I think I may be a little jealous. If my cushion to couch ratio wasn't already completely skewed, I would definitely be getting some of these for myself.
