Wedding LOVE...Red, white and rain

Hello friends, how did you survive the wet and wild weekend?
Spare a thought for my lovely Bride who was getting ready and probably thinking about how on earth she was going to make it from the car to the church without getting swept away!
Well thankfully the deluge held off for a short period of time for the to-ing and fro-ing and a couple of rainless photos. Here is a sneak peek of some of the goodies we were delighted to create for her special day...
We can't wait to share the professional photos with you all...just have to wait for the happy couple to return from the honeymoon in Hawaii! No, I'm not jealous at all...

Paper LOVE...The heart of the home

We recently moved house and while I can deal with the chaos of unpacked boxes and misplaced china and silverware, not having anything on the walls is too much to bare. So I figured new house new piece of art...however therein lay the problem. Well two problems actually; 1. the artwork that I love all seems to be outrageously expensive and 2. I have this thing where I LOVE something new each week!
So here was the solution...
I stumbled across this photo {taken at my little brothers birthday in February last year} that I had forgotten about but absolutely adore and had had this saying by E.E. Cummings floating around in my head for a while now and it seemed like lightning {or inspiration} struck! So it was a detour to Ikea on the way home from Mt Tamborine on Sunday to find a frame {the biggest one of course} and then I could size the image, add the words and have it printed. And then as they say voila instant artwork and happy walls!

P.s. I kinda love the way it turned out and so am thinking of having some made up to sell in store. What do you think?

Event LOVE...Find your seat

The wedding already seems like it was forever ago, which is a shame because you spend such a lot of time and energy planning it and then before you know it the day just seems to 'happen' around you and it's over! So many parts of the day that I wanted to see come to life I can't even remember noticing on the day...like the seating chart.
You'd be forgiven if you didn't understand the table numbers...there is a story that goes with them that we will share later. We loved the caricatures so much that we added them to the seating chart also {don't you? They are just so darn cute!}. And in the end everyone found their seat so job well done...
